The Nine Planetary Boundaries, 2021
The Nine Planetary Boundaries is a theory that measures the damage humans have done to the environment and sets a safe operating space in which we can thrive without destroying our planet.
This project is a reflection, a contemplation and effort of understanding the landscape’s status in our societies. Our culture is based on an endless production system in a finite world, a system that turns everything into a product. By doing that it separates the landscape from our daily life, making our relationship with it more difficult and problematic. This is a serious problem keeping in mind that the landscape is an essential component in our identity, meaning the system is eradicating a part of our human aspect. Given this first thought on the relationship with our surrounding spaces I intend to keep working on this issue.
